Eclipses in 2015: Mundane Astrology

By Kshitij Sharma, November 15, 2014

There are 4 eclipses that occur during the calendar year 2015. These are:

  • Solar Eclipse – March 20th 2015, coinciding with the Hindu New Year. This is not visible in India.
  • Lunar Eclipse – April 4th 2015, which is visible in India
  • Solar Eclipse – September 13th 2015, not visible in India
  • Lunar Eclipse – September 28th 2015, visible in India

One of the lunar eclipse will be visible properly and the other one will be visible just when the Earth’s penumbra touches the Moon and Moon sets immediately after. Hence, the astrological effects of the second lunar eclipse will be muted down. The eclipses indicate that the Governments at state and centre will be under undue pressure in this year.

This will not be a good time for despotic rulers. This eclipse will affect the common man in a negative way where there will be more struggle in day to day life. There will be a danger of earthquakes within the seas causing tsunamis –or– there will be a danger of cyclones and excessive rainfall. It will be hard time for scholars and artists in these areas.

Since this eclipse is mainly visible in Europe, fervent economic activity can be expected in the continent of Europe. On the financial astrology front, this eclipse may bring stocks for shipping & petro-chemical companies in focus and under pressure. Crude will be out of favour in commodities market but there will be a rising trend in gold.

What will this Lunar Eclipse Signify?

This eclipse will signify ill health to the ruler of the countries/areas that fall under the effect of the eclipse, i.e. where the eclipse is visible. This will also give rise to seditious activities within the country. The government of the day will have tough time sending its message to the people. Expect strikes, civil unrest to take place throughout the areas. The authority of the government itself will come into question. This eclipse will cause lot of grief to rationalists in the area who will be baffled by the attitude of the government.

    • Rahu close by, but not in the same sign. So this eclipse will not have a lot of adverse effect.
    • Leo/Purva Phalguni folks should be careful.

What does this eclipse signify?

The effects of this eclipse will largely go unnoticed as the overall foot print of the eclipse is very small. Also, it is visible in remote parts, e.g. Antarctica where there is not much economical and political activity. Still, this eclipse will cause problems to the rulers & government in the area. This will cause problems to ministers, advisors to the government, educated class, literati, etc..

Had there not been an aspect from Jupiter, this eclipse could have cause durbhiksha yoga, but as the effect of Jupiter is beneficial, this will not cause much problems. This eclipse will not cause inflationary trends, but may have an opposite effect.

Can the disastrous earthquake in Nepal on 25th April 2015, be linked to the above mentioned eclipses ? I think eclipses are followed by earthquakes…

seems to be a typo, nakshatras are swapped, moon in pisces, revathi and sun in virgo, hasta nakshatra
