Rituals while wearing Gemstones
The following rituals should be followed while wearing gemstones as per Astrology:
- The ring with the gemstone on it should be kept immersed in fresh milk (milk that was not used before and is not boiled) overnight. Avoid pasteurized milk that we get in the packets for daily consumption instead, try to get cow’s milk from a milkman.
- The ring should be worn in the first hour after the sunrise.
- It should be worn on the day of the week belonging to the planet, e.g. Ruby should be worn on Sunday, Neelam on Saturday and so on.
- Gomeda (Rahu’s gemstone) should be worn on a Wednesday, Cat’s eye (Ketu’s stone) should be worn on Thursdays.
- The mantra of the planetary deity should be chanted 108 times and the ring should then be worn.
The mantras for various planets are:

| Saturn | ॐ शम शनैश्चाराय नमः || | om sham shanaishcharaay namah |
| Rahu | ॐ राम राहुवे नमः || | om raam raahuve namah |
| Ketu | ॐ कें केतवे नमः || | om kem ketave naham |
Although Rahu, Ketu and Saturn are malefics, stones for them are prescribed if they are yogakaraka elements in a person’s horoscope. Astrologers do not prescribe stones for lords of 6th, 8th and 12th house lords, the planets which become functional malefics on account of ownership of these houses.
I have been told that I have many ill placed planets in most bad houses. Please tell why is it so? I feel my life is okay till now. But this has confused me and more I try to understand astrology more confusing it becomes. My Details are :

Saturn placed in Virgo Ascendant with Sun and Jupiter.Saturn is combust.Saturn here is lord of 5th and 6th house.Would it be good to wear gem of Saturn-Blue sapphire.

I am Gururaj. I am very much interested in astrology. So I will be studying astrology, numerology in my free time. As far as I know, the lord of 1,5 and 9th houses are supposed to give benefic results and their respective colors will be your lucky colors, and their respective stones will be your lucky stones. But 1 exception!!!! Blue sapphire should be tested for some hours or days before worn.

for tula lagna, shani is yoga karaka and mars is also good since he is the lord of kendra. but if these two enmical planets are combined and located in the 12th house will they remain yogakaraka anymore! how will they affect the 12th house and how their dasa antardasas affect the native.Would like to have a detailed knowledje about it.
