The Missing Tara Element
I get a lot of queries about the Tara element and why it is not being displayed in the Guna Milap applet. This element is not missing in the overall computation that is finally displayed as Nakshatra match. I just did not code it because it is one of the not-so-important fields unlike Graha Maitri, Bhakoot or Nadi Dosha. It is supposed to give good health and longevity to the partner, but these are some of the factors must be judged not from this field, but from the chart itself. We cannot expect a person with alpayu, as indicated by the chart, living to an old age just because he/she is married to a person and Tara contributed the maximum allowed value of three points in their horoscope match.
Therefore, if you do not see Tara in the chart, it does not necessarily mean that it contributes zero points.
As compared to a lower value, a higher value in Guna Milap neither indicates a better relationship, nor indicates a happier married life for the life span of the couple. Factors like alpayu and periods of health problems, financial duress etc. can bring lot more stress in the married life of a couple than what we comprehend, anticipate, and acknowledge. I have always maintained that predicting this is a job of an experienced astrologer with a human touch.

if tara match is of maximum 3 points, my match with my fiancee shows 20 points in tara. How?

If we have jupiter in the same one as Ravi (Sun) then it isn’t manglik is it ? Does your software account for that ? It dosen’t seem to. Check for this eg. time 08:01 AM chennai and date is Dec 27th, 1976.

iam very impressed by ur software.and it helps a lot.but i have one general doubt.in one instance when i matched two charts i got a score of 31.but i saw one more site based on chinese astrology

it has a range of -8 to +8.i got a score of -3 for the data.which is not good according to chinese astrology.
so wht should i base on.i agree vedic astrology is very old and standard.but how could the results vary when both are based on planets and constellations.
