Clarifications on Manglik Dosha
The maximum comments on this blog are posted to the article on Manglik Dosha. I would like to clarify a few points:
-
I am of the firm opinion that Mars in Lagna does not cause dosha.
-
Shani and Rahu, which are supposed to be cruel planets also cause dosha similar to Manglik dosha and their effect should also be balanced.
-
A person with Mars in 7th house should marry a person with Mars in 7th house only and not in any other house.
-
A person with Mars in 8th house should marry a person with Mars in 8th house only and not in any other house.
I was going through a calendar that we have been referring throughout. This calendar is called Bhuvan Vijay Panchanga by Pt Babulal Chaturvedi and is published by Adhunik Jyotish Karyalaya - Office of Modern Astrology, Jabalpur, India. It is a fairly accurate and detailed calendar and readers are advised to take a look at it if they can get hold of one. I refer to the pages when someone asks me about match making and an internet connection is not handy to refer to my own website.
In one of the pages, the author explains about Manglik Dosha and how it is caused and what nullifies the dosha. It is pretty much in line with other texts on Manglik Dosha that I have read. However, one of the sections caught my eye and I thought I should share it with blog readers. Please take a look at this attached image.
For people who do not understand Hindi, the text says that in the seven scenarios mentioned below, matching the chart for Manglik Dosha is not required:
-
If there is a condition associated with marriage, e.g. the way Rama and Sita, Arjun and Draupadi got married.
-
If the girl is kidnapped and subsequently married.
-
If the girl’s father gives away his daughter willingly and lovingly.
-
If the girl herself proposes to a guy then it is not necessarily required to match the charts for Manglik Dosha.
-
In case of remarriage.
-
If the girl has crossed the age of 30 years, then a lot of attention should not be given to manglik dosha.
-
For a man above 50 years of age and for a woman 45 and above.
Number 4 and 6 seem to be a fairly interesting points. I am not sure why these are specific to girls. Anyway, the whole point behind this post is to kickstart a debate. I would request learned astrologers to take a look and comment on this post so that students like me can learn.

I have not found my question answered as yet. You mention that there is no manglik dosha for taurus and libra lagnas if mars is in 12th house. However, as I have mentioned before, according to B V Raman, there is no manglik dosha if mars is in 12th house and that house happens to be taurus or libra. Waiting for your response.

I read your article on Manglik dosha and for most of the points I have a different opinion. Mars in Ascendant the 4th house the 7th house 8th and 12th do carry manglik doshas irrespective of any sign. However the results might vary from place to place. For eg. Mars in 7th 8th is definitely not a good sign comparitively to mars in ascendant and 4th and 12th. Lets see why. Marriage is seen from 7th house. Second house to it is 8th house also the house of husband or wife. 6th house from 7th is 12th house where we can see health of husband / wife. Ascendant is you yourself. And 4th house is house for happiness for both the individaul. My personal opinion is that 7th house mars is the worst and should be definitely be matched with mars in atleast some of the houses mentioned above with the viewpoint of atleast something is better than nothing.
One more point to clarify is manglik dosha is house based rather than sign based. And the effects are person with manglik dosha are more energetic, sexually more active, of more angry temperament and impatient. Ofcourse there are other planets to be considered like where saturn is placed and other things to overall scenario and the dosha is reduced thereby in percentages.

i am a non-manglik guy and i am in love with a manglik girl. i have no problem with this but she is worried about our future, but we cant leave each other. we will die without each other. i just want to know that does this manglik dosh really effect a married life.
if it is so then i have a question. just 15% population of the world is hindu but this astrology is valid for all the people(of any religion) whether they beleive it or not, right??? so people of other religion dont match their horoscopes. then how come there are so many couples in this world leading a happy married life??? infact what is the defenition of a marriage? is it a marriage according to the hindu rituals??

But my case is quite peculiar, the girl is manglik while i am non maglik/ Her mangal i think is in 8th house (which i have been told is in “Uccha position” which as per the books makes mangal dosha ineffective) Further one astrologer has told me that in her rashi Rahu is opp Mars which completely ends mangal dosha. I never believed in all this horoscope/ kundali etc. I believed in doing your work and leave everything to Almighty.
But I am forced to think about my horoscope at this point.
All things in my life get disturbed at last moment. Be it marriage, my carrier, business, new job etc. Things start to work out, but by the time they reach to final point…..all gets messed up.
My marriage didn’t work out after reaching at a stage when it was 99% okay. I suffered a loss in my Stock Market Business. When things started to move smoothly, and I thought everything will be okay.. problems started.
