Venus will transit (gochar) to Pisces/Meena rashi in evening hours on 16th February 2015 as per Indian Standard Time for a horoscope prepared for Bangalore. Venus remains in Pisces through March 12th, when it moves to its Mars’ sign of Aries. Venus does not get retrograde in the middle and will maintaining pretty much constant speed through the transit.
Venus is exalted in Pisces sign. It is a sign ruled by Jupiter. Venus is the teacher/guide of the Asuras while Jupiter does that job for Devas. Venus is therefore quite at home in Jupiter’s sign of Pisces.
Venus is symbolized by Goddess Lakshmi, goddess of wealth. Venus in its exaltation is charisma all around. This denotes artists: musicians, painters etc.. Exalted Venus can produce excellent interior designers with an artistic sense of proportion, form and purpose. Venus is important for beauty, luxuries and comfort in life. Other planets are also capable for producing dhana yoga, but to have a lavish lifestyle, Venus is important. Venus makes one money minded and with “predominantly a materialistic outlook of life” as succinctly put by Dr. Raman in his book – Three Hundred Important Combinations.
In the same literature, Venus in exaltation is said to cause two big yogas – Lakshmi Yoga and Malavya Yoga, which is one of the Pancha Mahapurusha Yoga. Lakshmi Yoga is caused when lord of 9th and Venus are both in Kendras – Venus is exalted and Lord of 9th is in exaltation, moola trikona or own house and most importantly Lagna has to be strong. None of the planetary combinations during Feb/March 2015 are capable of producing a strong Lakshmi yoga, except for Moon’s movement through Karka or Vrishabh rashi days. However, Malavya yoga – which occurs due to Venus in exaltation/moolatrikona in a Kendra can be found in few of the Kundali. If any of the families are planning birth of a child and looking for auspicious time due to c-section, then this is one of the important factors to be kept in mind.
From Feb 19th through Feb 24th, Mars and Venus will be within one longitudinal degrees of each other and will appear together in the sky. Venus will be moving faster in forward direction than Mars and will move further ahead than Mars around Feb 24th. Venus will be conjunct with Ketu and naturally opposite Rahu on March 1st 2015. During this transit, Jupiter will have its 9th house drishti on Venus and the exact trine aspect will occur around 3rd of March 2015.
Venus will be at the highest exaltation point of 27° Pisces on the morning of March 10th. Mars will also be in Pisces during this period.
So essentially, Venus is in exaltation, with Jupiter’s (who is the rashi lord too) drishti and there is some euphoria element due to combination with Rahu/Ketu – all this means that elements related to Venus are in a high place during this transit of Pisces. This affect will show up not only on transit results for various rashis, but for mundane astrology as well. For individual rashis, these effects should never be looked at in isolation, but along with all the transits affecting a person during the month. The results below will automatically be taken into account along with other transits. An overall result is always compiled for monthly horoscope and presented on this site.
Usually, going by the theory, Venus gives good transit results when it is transiting houses 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 8th, 9th, 11th and 12th from janma rashi or natal moon in a horoscope. However, this time, the results will be slightly modified. Since Venus is not only exalted, but closely aspected by Jupiter as well, the auspicious results for the above mentioned houses will be more pronounced. Aspect of Jupiter will balance out the malefic association with Rahu/Ketu axis and also the association with aggressive qualities of Mars. Moreover, for 6th, 7th and 10th house gochara, the overall result will be deemed unfavourable, the results will not be as bad. The following table captures the essence:
