The Art of Matching Charts

Over the years, The Astrology Magazine has carries articles and editorials on chart matching for matrimonial purposes and this product seems to be a product of properly organizing all the relevant matter presented in different editions of the magazine in form of one book. I started reading Astrology Magazine only during the last days of Dr. B.V. Raman and most of my readership has been under the editorial tenure of Gayatri Devi Vasudev, who is the author of the book.

The chart matching article on this site attracts the maximum comments with a lot of couple trying to match their horoscopes using the applet. These couple should not consider this book as a DIY (do it yourself) book. Matching of chart requires deep understanding of all aspects of astrology and also experience in this area. The author has dealt with a lot of subjects, the essence of which cannot be captured in any software. Some of these subjects are longevity of spouses, multiple marriages, dosha samya and progressive that author is, there is a chapter on detecting dangers from the horoscope due to dowry problems. The chapter on practical examples is insightful. The author does not deal with manglik dosha but instead explains dosha due to other planets as well - Rahu/Ketu, Saturn and Mars in a horoscope. The dosha due to all these planets should be balanced and it is not just Mars that should be looked at.
